Supporting Our Comprehensive Health Assessments
- VISBODY IN OUR CLINIC
How We Use Visbody
In our clinic, Visbody functions as an advanced assessment tool that sits alongside your consultation, physical examination and other tests. When your clinician feels it is appropriate, they will include a Visbody scan as part of your appointment to deepen their understanding of your body composition, shape and posture. It is not a replacement for clinical judgement, but a way of making that judgement more precise and better informed.
During your visit, the Visbody scan is typically scheduled after the initial discussion and examination. This timing means your clinician already understands your concerns, history and goals, and can target the scan towards the questions that matter most – for example, understanding whether weight gain is mainly fat or fluid, whether muscle mass is being preserved, or whether your posture might be contributing to pain or reduced mobility. Once the scan is complete, the results are reviewed in the context of everything else we know about your health, rather than in isolation.
We also use Visbody data to support longer‑term care. For patients on weight‑management programmes, lifestyle interventions, or rehabilitation pathways, repeat scans can show whether changes are having the desired effect on body composition and structure. This objective information gives both you and your clinician confidence that your plan is on the right track, or flags when it may need to be adjusted.
- PART OF A BIGGER PICTURE
Who Typically Benefits
Because Visbody focuses on body composition and structure, we tend to use it in assessments where those factors are particularly important. This often includes people engaging in structured weight‑management programmes, individuals with metabolic risk factors such as a family history of diabetes or cardiovascular disease, and patients seeking a detailed, “full MOT” style health check. In these cases, knowing how much of your weight is fat versus muscle, and where that fat is stored, can meaningfully influence the advice we give.
Visbody is also helpful for patients who have noticed changes in their body shape or are concerned about central weight gain around the abdomen. The scan can highlight visceral fat – the deeper fat around organs – which is more strongly linked to long‑term health risks than fat under the skin. For people with musculoskeletal or posture‑related symptoms, such as back, neck or shoulder discomfort, the 3D posture analysis can reveal imbalances or alignment issues that might not be obvious in a mirror.
Active individuals and athletes can benefit from Visbody when monitoring training programmes. For them, the focus is often on tracking muscle mass, symmetry between left and right sides, and changes in body composition that might affect performance. However, even in these cases, we still use Visbody as part of a broader clinical conversation about goals, injury history, sleep, stress and overall health, rather than treating the scan as a standalone fitness gadget.
- WHAT YOU GET
COMPREHENSIVE REPORT ABOUT YOUR HEALTH
Comprehensive Body Breakdown
Go far beyond simple weight measurements. This report analyzes your skeletal muscle mass, body fat percentage, water weight, and visceral fat levels to provide a true picture of your metabolic health.
3D Structural Assessment
Identify structural imbalances before they lead to injury. The scan evaluates your alignment from head to toe, detecting issues such as forward head posture, rounded shoulders, and pelvic tilt.
Mobility & Range of Motion
Assess your upper body mechanics with precision. We measure your shoulder flexibility and range of motion to uncover hidden restrictions or asymmetries that may be limiting your movement or training progress.

Clinical Benefits of Using Visbody in Our Health Assessments
Hospital-Grade Accuracy
Unlike standard gym scales, Visbody combines 3D optical scanning with Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to deliver highly precise data on your body composition.
Beyond BMI
Stop relying on weight alone. We distinguish between muscle mass, water weight, and body fat to ensure you are losing the right kind of weight during your treatment.
Visceral Fat Analysis
Measure the dangerous, hidden fat surrounding your internal organs—a critical health indicator for heart disease and diabetes that a mirror cannot show you.
3D Avatar Tracking
See a 360-degree digital twin of your body to visually track inch-loss and body shape changes, even when the number on the scale stays the same.
Know Your Metabolism
Establish a precise baseline for your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and metabolic age, allowing our doctors to tailor your nutrition and medication plan to your unique biology.
Posture & Alignment
The 3D scan identifies structural imbalances and posture issues, giving you a comprehensive view of your physical health beyond just fat loss.
